The Pulseband is a hypothetical piece of hardware, assigned to the students as a project to get them accustomed to the process of team collaboration and client work. Worn around the wrist, the Pulseband can read a user's heart rate and blood pressure, and the student team is tasked with creating a companion mobile app to accompany these features.

While multiple teams have tackled this project in a variety of ways, this particular team brought a level of innovation and sophistication to their design unlike any we'd ever seen before. And it was really exciting watching them make daily breaktrhoughs as they shepherded this project from concept to reality.

"We originally assigned the Pulseband project with the intention of purposely leaving it very open ended. We wanted to see what the students would come up with without any restraints, and with a wide variety of directions they could take their designs in. This team in particular really knocked it out of the park in terms of the imagination and innovation they brought to every level of their design."
